Accessing Aduino IDE in MBlock

#1

I’m running Mblock on Mac OSX.9. In Mblock, I use the “Makeblock Program” piece from the Robots section to write a program. If I want to upload it to Arduino or edit it with Arduino IDE, I’m told that Arduino IDE has not been found and I need to set the path. I have already downloaded Arduino (both versions 1.06 and 1.6.3). When I go to set the path within Mblock, the Arduino programs are greyed out and cannot be selected. Does anyone have an idea how I can fix this?

Thanks,
Tom

Hey TomH - did you manage to get this resolved? I’m having exactly the same problem so any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi Emily,

I gave up on this two years ago but just came back as I got one of the other robots for my son. I relooked at this. It appears that the issue was a driver problem

(see https://makeblockshop.eu/blogs/known-issues/88952964-instal-the-right-drivers-usb )

on the mac. Once corrected, the path wasn’t grayed out and I could upload the firmware fine.
