No more bluetooth process

#1

Hello,

I’m Laurent, I’m new on the forum.

For Christmas, I offered to my son a mBot Explorer Kit, with bluetooth module.
We started to test it with a smartphone under Android OS.
It worked fine, the mBlock application connected to the robot, and we could run some programs.

Then my son used the “uploading mode” on a computer with a USB connection.
Again, it worked fine.

But now, we can’t use the “bluetooth mode” anymore.
The bluetooth service is started on the device (computer or smartphone). The device see the robot by bluetooth. The application find and connect correctly to the mBot. But launch a program on the device has no effect on the robot.

The computer runs under Windows 10, mBlock version is 5.1.0.
Tell me if I forget something …

Thanks for your help, have a nice day, and happy new year !!!
Laurent

Hi, the bluetooth connection is not supporting uploading the program as well as USB cable. You are suggested to upload the program via USB cable.

Hi, thanks for the response (which surprises me a lot …).

I don’t know if the program is “really” uploaded to the mBot by bluetooth, but yes, it’s possible to manipulate it by this way : like I said, we succeeded to do this at first use ! Otherwise, what would be the use of this module? And how could we use makeblock on a smartphone, without a possible USB connection ?
