Android App and Ultimate Robot Kit - locks up

#1

Having an issue where when attempting to drive the ultimate robot kit via the android app where a motor will engage and continue engaging even though nothing is being touched on the android device. Sometimes if you touch the direction again, it will stop. Sometimes you have to turn off the Arduino device completely and exit/restart the app. I’ve tried this on an Android tablet, a Samsung S5 phone and a Nexus 6P, all with the same result.

Having the same issue here.
Problem is that the Bluetooth connection is lost at some time. And the app cannot connect again…have to restart und reconnect.
It is very annoying that a robot-controlling app is only running for a few seconds !!
The m-bot app doesnt have the issue by the way but the control there is very limited…

Hi Faktor-I

Our engineer has developed a new App named Makeblock App HD which has been made some updates on makeblock App, please download this App from this link have a try: http://learn.makeblock.com/en/software/

Besides, for the unstable connection issue, please make sure the battery on the Robot has good quality and can provide enough power to the robot.

Yep, the power supply was the problem.
I used 6 good quality and fully loaded batteries and it didn’t work !! I had to use a new & stronger accu. You should replace the standard 6 battery holder by a 8 battery holder or a strong accu.
