Windows does not recognize mTiny (cannot update firmware)

#1

Hello.
I am not able to connect the tap pen with mtiny since a few days now. By reading some thread of this forum I saw that updating the firmware might be a solution. However I cannot do it: my windows system tells me the device cannot be opened and I should format it. How can I solve this issue?
Thank you!

@Zebx19 Can you send me the thread you read? I’d like to read it as well.

You can contact support about this, since there aren’t many docs on the issue:

Good luck!

Sure. This is the post I was referring to. I will contact the support through the mail you sent me. Thank you.

I wonder how the user in the post you sent updated the firmware… he wasn’t very specific. Hopefully official support can help you.

#5

Yes. There are actually two threads about this issue and the authors of both of them solved it, but it is not written how…I also contacted them privately.

Unfortunately not. I am stuck at step 4 because windows does not recognize the mtiny device, therefore I cannot delete and replace the current firmware as stated in the following steps
