Sound sensor on Auriga board

#1

Hello,

what is the normal behavior for the ‘sound on board’ sensor on mBot Ranger, Auriga board?
The sensor produces values around 160 with Min:Max in relatively quite environment around 145:200.
Catching Clapping event is mostly a miss.
It would be nice to see code example for the Makeblock_App/mBlock_Scratch(Bluetooth).

Thank you

I also have this question. The sound sensor onboard seems to be very insensitive.

Hi @daaxix ,

there’s been an update, the devs will look into it for the mBlock mobile app.

In the meantime you can check the SoundDetected function posted on the next post, the idea is to recognize sound diff in both directions. The abs() block is not implemented in the current Makeblock mobile app.
Also, using USB over BT :disappointed: will better your experience with the sound sensor.
