I am having a problem with the library installation path. I have narrowed my problem down to this but can seem to make any progress on addressing the changes that need to be made. It seems that I need to change some library file name from
"Makeblock" to “makeblock”, yet I am unable to pinpoint the exact place or steps needed to achieve this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Problem with compiling IR control sketch for the basic robot kit
Well I managed to finally solve the library path problem.
For some reason the parent file Makeblock Library Masters was causing a problem.
I copied the Makeblock folder, backed up one folder and pasted it while deleting the
Makeblock Library Masters from the same folder.
basically what what suggested but with a few differing terms, Nobody had mention the problem with
the Makeblock Library Masters file. Anyway I got the sketches to open, compile and upload.
But IR robot still wont work! ha ha more hair pulling.
I have to say BOO to version 2.0 nothing but headaches for me.
I was a kickstarter supporter and the first version worked perfectly right out of the box. The"faulty" IR receiver
i still going strong…
Hi @atomic,
The library issue is very common for all things Arduino. There is an alternative “Install library”-option within the Arduino IDE that can be used for simplicity. Try that the next time? The Arduino IDE isn’t very good about explaining when these things go wrong.
As for the robot - I ordered nine 2.0 kits for a class I did. One of the nine had a faulty IR transmitter. You’ve confirmed it’s the receiver that is the problem?
