So I have a Mbot and when I try to upload programs via USB it says:
avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding
avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 2 of 10: not in sync: resp=0xb4
Please help, I have tried going to google for solutions but none of the solutions work for me, I am on com5 porton microsoft PC. Whan I move my bot around with code it works, but nothing will upload,

Please upload the blink program to the mCore board via Arduino software have a try. Refer to this document.Test if the Arduino board is working or not with the Blink program.zip (698.9 KB)
Please kindly note: temporarily remove the Bluetooth or 2.4G wireless serial module from mCore while uploading program.
Besides, if it is possible, you can also change the USB cable or Computer to upload the blink program have a try once there is still error.

Just curious, when you opened Arduino IDE, have you closed mBlock software? If the mBlock software is still opened, the mCore will connect to mBlock software rather than Arduino IDE, which means the Blink program cannot upload to Arduino IDE. Could you try again the Blink program and make sure the mBlock software is closed during the test?
yes it is closed, but I have a mBot 101, so I have a UNO Shield board, but the thing is, it says âavrdude: stk500_getsync()âŚâ then it retries 10 times, and the it says Problem uploading to board,and the real broblem is that I cant upgrade firmware either,it just says âUpload failedâ when I try to download firmware

Sorry that we didnât notice that youâre the same user of mBot 101 in this post.
To avoid mistake, it is suggested continue communicating the same problem on one post instead of making a new post again.
The blink test program is for mCore board instead of mBot 101. So it is normal that there are errors while uploading.
In this post, I suggested to uploading the example program DC motor. Have you chosen the board as Arduino/Genuino 101 while uploading the program?
Besides, make sure you have closed the mBlock software and connect the correct serial port for mBot 101 on Arduino software.
