Thank you. Are there any further detailed instructions on the use of the remote? Such as programming its use with the mBot?

I just checked … it is not available in the mobile app. You need to use the mBlock program on PC/Mac. You will find the blocks to check the IR remote keys in the Robot section there.

You will probably want to overwrite the default program because it also listens to IR remote commands. You need to switch to Arduino mode for that, then you have full control over the IR receiver.

I’ve not tried it, but it looks like you can use scratch to handle IR commands. See this thread for an example:-
