Hi tiho747,

there is a lot of trouble with wireless communication with the bots.
Mblock5 is currently not stable, maybe the future brings the support for the 2.4 Module.
Have a look here:

The tech_support wrote at Aug, 18th:

Sorry, currently there is no plan to add this 2.4G for mBlock5.

I want to buy 30-40 mbots for school, but currently my private brand new Makeblock Ranger isn’t able to commmunicate with mBlock 3.4.11 or mBlock 5 (bluetooth-edition). I can’t use cable at school, so I’m looking for calliope or micro:bit for teaching.

I was about to ask the same question. I bought a mBot 1.1 with a WiFi module and, according to the documentation, it’s only possible to connect using USB or Bluetooth.

It works great with mBlock 3 but mBlock 5 provides some useful additional commands and it’s a shame it does not work anymore with WiFi.

I cannot undersand how such a feature can be removed from mblock 5. As a teacher, how will I be able to connect the mBots of my students ?

Is it possible to import new commands into mblock 3 ?

Please fix this guys, it’s a non sense.

Love your works BTW

Currently there is no plan to add 2.4G to mBlock 5 as we will focus on Bluetooth connection which comes to be stable. But we’ll also feedback the suggestion to the software team.
