Laserbot Fan Error

Hi
Just assembled the LaserBot.

The engraving is OK. But my concern is that the fan is not on, when engraving/cutting. Should it not be on all time?

Which fan?The one on laser or the 2nd one mounted on the plexiglass piece?

Its the fan on the plexiglass piece.

Hi Mads,

Normally, the fan will rotate when powered on the Laserbot.
Makes sure you have plug the wire (black and red) coming from the fan to the interface on MegaPi correctly.

Everything is plugged in the right way.

Does the fan still can’t rotate when MegaPi is powered on?
Could you please take a picture for the wiring connection on your Laserbot?

Hi Mads,

Please try the other port on the MegaPI, you need note the GND and +V, the red wire to the +V side, black wire to the GND.

I have tried that, but its still not running. I Think the fan is broken. Everything else is working just fine.

Hi Mads,

Yes, the fan should be faulty if still doesn’t work, where and when did you buy the robots?
If from the local re seller, you can contact the local re seller for the warranty of the fan.
If from Makeblock official website, please send the receipt of the robot to daisy@makeblock.com for recording?
