Can't restore IR starter kit - neither upload any program

#1

Our starter robokit worked great out-of-the-box…till I tried to connect to a PC via USB.
we use mblock 3.4.4 on a PC.
I uploaded 1 program but the result was not as expected - robot turning on itself. And since, I can’t change anything: Upgrade firmware or reset default (“starter”, the only available) have no impact.

it seems that USB connection is good (blue light blinks each time I “upload”) on COM3.
I use Starter/ultimate (Orion) Board.

I went through several tutos and docs.

thanks for help/Ideas.

forgot to add that all programs we try to upload, have the following error code:

avrdude: verifying …
avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x0000
0x62 != 0x0c
avrdude: verification error; content mismatch

avrdude done. Thank you.

Hi Mcouraud,

From the error message, the Board has lost the bootloader.
Where did you buy the robot? Please send your receipt to tec-support@makeblock.com

I am having the same error. Is there a fix to this?

How to fix if Me Orion didn't respond?--Updated on 3/16/2017

Hi AlejC18,

Please refer to this document to test the Orion board again.

Then please take a picture for the error you get and paste it here.

If it is still the same error mentioned in the document, the Orion board should lose the bootloader. If you have another Arduino uno board or Me Orion board, you can reburn the bootloader for it refer to this post.
