I did a little program to interact with my Codey. It works.

Planing to try your code, I liked the Idea.

First, The Msg is a normal variable or communicate variable?
Second, did you run this from a PC or a Tablet?

Third, How is the Message being broadcast, IR, Bluetooth or Wifi?

Codey Rocky doesn’t support “speaking message he received”, due to hardware limitation.

Does a voice sensor just detect sound or is like a microphone ?

Hi abarakat,

I just destroyed my imagination.
The Codey does not speak. It’s a robot for 6 years so it only makes sounds…

Currently:

  • I speak with a WebCam in mBlock under PC and I send the sentence recognized in Codey.
  • With the Bluetooth doogle, the Codey displays it on the screen.

The rest of my project seems to stop here. My Codey will answer me with sounds.

Note : Variable difference?

Crackel, don’t loose faith, Codey is still work in progress. It might not talk but it has potential.

Now back to the program, If I don’t have the Bluetooth dongle then I won’t be able to send a signal to Codey, Pls. confirm?!

Can you Pls. unzip the attached file and test it for me.
The orders are forward, backward, left, right, stop. It should control Codey Rocky movement.

Ok, here is my code. You need a variable: communicate.
Why ? I do not know for the moment.

My code works with or without the doogle.
I plug it into USB. Do not forget to update each change for the Codey.

Hi abarakat,

Here is a code to control the Codey Rocky by voice.
I tested in USB, it works : CodeyVoiceMove.zip (68,1 Ko)
